ΟΘΩΝ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Youthful head of Otho to right; below truncation in tiny letters, K. ΦΟÏΓΤ. Rev. 5 ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ /(owl) 1844 Crowned shield bearing the coat of arms of Greece with the Wittelsbach arms at the center; all within an olive wreath with ties below. Divo 10d. Karamitsos 113. KM 20. PONTOS. Amisos. Time of Mithradates VI Eupator, circa 85-65 BC. (Bronze, 21 mm, 11.45 g, 11 h). Head of Perseus to right, wearing Phrygian helmet decorated with stars. Rev. AMIΣOY Pegasos grazing to left; in left field and below, monograms. HGC 7, 239. Malloy 33m. SNG BM Black Sea 1217. Well-centered, and with an attractive reddish-brown patina. Somewhat rough surfaces, otherwise, good very fine.
