BΑΣΙΛΕΙA ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Crowned shield bearing the coat of arms of Greece with the Wittelsbach arms at the center. Rev. 5 ΛΕΠΤΑ 1838 Denomination and date in three lines within a laurel wreath tied above and below. Divo 21e. Karamitsos 59. KM 16. Die fault on the reverse. Graded by NGC "XF details / rim damage". THRACO-MACEDONIAN REGION. Uncertain mint. Mid - later 5th century BC. Diobol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.98 g, 11 h). Scorpion, shown vertically. Rev. Dolphin swimming right, within a lozenge-shaped incuse square. Rosen 400, SNG Copenhagen 377 and SNG von Aulock 6664 (all as Asia Minor uncertain) and Tzamalis 6 (uncertain Northern Greece). Very rare and attractive. Good very fine.
