Solidus (Gold, 19 mm, 4.35 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 3rd officina, 674-681. d N CON [A] NЧS P Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine facing slightly to right, with short beard, holding spear over shoulder and shield; helmet with crest and plume. Rev. VICTOA AVSU Γ / CONOB Cross potent on three steps flanked by Heraclius and Tiberius, both wearing crown and chlamys, holding globus cruciger. DOC 10b. MIB 7. SB 1156. Nicely toned and struck. Areas of striking flatness, otherwise, good very fine.
