Caracalla, AD 198-217. Antoninianus (Silver, 23 mm, 4.79 g, 12 h), Rome, 215-217. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right. Rev. VENVS VICTRIX Venus standing facing, her head turned left, holding helmet in her right hand and scepter with her left, leaning on an oval shield; captives seated each side. BMC 86. Cohen 612b. RIC 312c. Very attractive specimen. Extremely fine.

Traces of the Victory can be visible behind the helmet, which confirms that the issue with the helmet is posterior to the ones with the Victory.
