EASTERN CILICIA OR NORTHERN SYRIA. Uncertain Caesarea. Claudius, 41-54. (Bronze, 25 mm, 6.60 g, 12 h), year E = 5 = 45/46 . ΤΙΒΕΡΙΟC ΚΛΑΥΔΙΟC KAICAP Bare head of Claudius to left. Rev. KAIC /APEΩΝ ETOYC E Tyche, veiled, with towered headdress seated right on rock , holding ears of corn; below, forepart of uncertain river god swimming right. BMC 4 (Anazarbos in Cilicia). De Saulcy 1 (Caesarea Panias in Judaea). RPC I 4086 (uncertain city, perhaps in Cilicia but perhaps not). Sydenham 59 (Caesarea in Capadocia). Well centered and clear. Some earth deposits and struck from a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise, very fine.
