ISLAMIC, Southern Anatolia. Circa 10th-13th Century. Weight of 7-dirhams (Lead, 16x14mm, 18.93 g), a commercial weight in the form of a roughly flattened sphere of doubly truncated form, with its sides composed of facets, of which most contain a deeply punched depression. Cf. Holland 123 ff. (bronze). Cf. CPAI 1, 129 ff. (bronze). An unusual piece. Heavy grey patina, with some minor scratches. Good very fine.

(differing weight). Dark green patina with earthen highlights and some pitting. Very fine.
