Geta, as Caesar, 198-209. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.53 g, 12 h), Laodicea ad Mare, 202. P SEPTIMIVS GETA CAES Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Geta to right. Rev. MINERV SANCT Minerva, helmeted, standing front, her head turned to left, resting her right hand on shield set on ground and holding reversed spear with her left. BMC 750. Cohen 83 var. (differing bust type). RIC 105a. A beautiful example with old cabinet toning. Well-centered, sharply struck and with particularly good surfaces. Extremely fine.
