Hadrian, 117-138. Aureus (Gold, 18mm, 7.35 g 7), Rome, 134-138. HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P Bare-headed and draped bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. RESTITVTORI AFRICAE Hadrian, toage, satnding left, raising kneeling Africa holding grain-ears in her left hand and wearing elephant-skin head-dress; in center, two grain-ears. BMC 870 and pl. 65, 5 and Calicó 1349 (both same dies). Cohen 1222. RIC 322c. Rare and of particularly fine style. Some light scratches on obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
