THESSALY, Larissa. Early to mid 4th Century BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 17mm, 2.91 g 2). Thessalos to right, naked but for chlamys over his shoulders, petasos on the back of his head, pulling with both hands a band around the forehead of a bull’s forepart trying to leap right, below, lotus flower. Rev. ΛΑΡΙΣΑION Forepart of bridled horse to left. BCD II 374.1 (same reverse die). Very fine.
