KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Bronze (18mm, 6.33 g 12), uncertain mint in Macedon, 336-323. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔ[P]O Club and bow in bowcase; above, monogram. Price 318. Good very fine.

From a European collection, formed before 2005.

An interesting detail about this coin is that the die cutter apparently ran out of space for the reverse legend, and could barely squeeze in the O.
