KINGS of MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Stater (Gold, 18mm, 8.63 g 6), struck under Philip III, Pella, 323-317. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Charioteer driving chariot drawn by two rearing horses to right, holding reins in his left hand and goad in his right; below horses, kantharos. Le Rider Pella III A, 451a (dies D186/R334, this coin). A splendid example, perfectly struck. Good extremely fine.
