BRUTTIUM, The Brettii. Circa 216-214 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19mm, 4.72 g 4), issued during the Second Punic War. Diademed and draped bust of Nike to right; behind, lituus. Rev. BPETTIΩN Dionysos standing facing, crowning himself and holding scepter; to right, monogram. HN III 1963. Nicely toned. Good very fine.


From a Swiss collection, formed during the 1980s or earlier, privately purchased from Schweizerische Kreditanstalt.
