EASTERN CELTS. 2nd to 1st century BC. Drachm (Silver, 14mm, 3.00 g 8), imitation of Philip II of Macedon, ’Kapostal’ Type. Celticized head of laureate Zeus to right; laurel wreath shown as zig-zag between lines. Rev. Horseman to left; large crest above head, [crescent] to left. Flesche 571. Göbl OTA pl. 39, 500/3f. Lanz 799-812. A lovely example with old cabinet toning. Good very fine.
