THESSALY, Pelinna. Later 4th century BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 15mm, 2.15 g 11). Armored Thessalian cavalryman, with helmet and couched lance, on horse galloping to right. Rev. ΠΕΛΙΝΝΑ / ΙΕΩΝ Mantho seated facing on throne with high back, her body turned slightly to left, holding open box in her lap. Moustaka 1998, 4 (this coin). Rare. With a glossy, black patina, an attractive coin. Nearly extremely fine.
