THESSALY, Thessalian League. Circa 470s-460s BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 2.94 g 5). Forepart of prancing horse to right, emerging from rocks; on horse’s flank, traces of a brand mark, possibly Λ Rev. ΦΕ / ΤΑ Wheat grain with hull; all within incuse square. Franke 7, fig. 8 (but BMC Pherai 8 as he says). SNG Copenhagen 236 var. SNG Munich 193 var. An atrractive, clear piece. Surface very slightly rough. Nearly extremely fine.
