CRUSADERS, County of Tripolis. Lordship of Botron (Batroun). Uncertain Bohemond (IV-VII), circa 1189-1287. Seal or Bulla (Lead, 40 mm, 65.05 g, 12 h). BOAMVN-DVS⋮DNS⋮BOTRONIS Armored knight, holding sword in his right hand and with a shield over his left shoulder, charging right on horseback. Rev. ✠CASTELLVM⋮BOTRONI⋮ Castle facade with three towers. Cf. Archives nationales de France, AE/III/141, a bulla dated to 1216. A very rare and well-preserved bulla struck by a Count of Tripoli as Lord as Botron. Some scuffs and marks, otherwise, good very fine.
