EGYPT. Alexandria. Lucius Verus, 161-169. Drachm (Bronze, 33.30 mm, 19.73 g, 12 h), year Γ = 3 = 162/3. Λ ΑYΡΗΛΙΟC ΟYΗΡΟC CEΒ Bareheaded, draped and cuirassed bust of Lucius Verus to right. Rev. L Γ Euthenia standing to right, holding a wreath in her raised right hand and, with her left, a stalk of grain ear over left shoulder; before her to right, Nilus, holding a cornucopia in his right hand and a reed in his left, reclining to left; below right, crocodile. Dattari (Savio) -. Geissen -. K&G -. RPC IV.4 Online temp. 15715 = SNG Hunterian 4279. Very rare. Boldly struck and with a fine portrait of Verus and a brown-green patina. Strong striking split, otherwise, about extremely fine.
