EGYPT. Alexandria. Antoninus Pius, 138-161. Drachm (Bronze, 33.00 mm, 24.77 g, 12 h), year ΙΘ = 19 = 155-156. ΑYT Κ T Α ΑΔΡI - [ΑΝΤωΝΙΝΟC CEB EY] Laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right. Rev. L I-Θ Bust of Nilus to right, crowned with lotus-buds, reed at shoulder; before, cornucopia from which issues Genius holding a wreath. Dattari (Savio) - (but cf. 2722-2723, draped bust). Geissen - (but cf. 1759, draped bust). RPC IV.4 Online temp. - (but cf. 14949 with a draped bust). Apparently an unpublished variety. Dark brown-green patina. Rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
