EGYPT. Alexandria. Hadrian, 117-138. Drachm (Bronze, 34.00 mm, 26.64 g, 12 h), year 21 = 136-137. ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙC [ΤΡΑIAN] - ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟC CEB Bare head of Hadrian to left. Rev. L KA Serapis, reclining left on the outstretched wings of an eagle standing facing on a thunderbolt, holding corn ears in his raised right hand and holding a scepter in his left. Dattari (Savio) 1839. Geissen -. K&G -. RPC III 6201. Rare. With a fine portrait and a green and red-brown patina. Somewhat rough surfaces as found, some traces of clearning, otherwise, good very fine.

Left facing portraits are quite rare in the coinage of Alexandria.
