EGYPT. Alexandria. Trajan, 98-117. Drachm (Bronze, 37.60 mm, 28.36 g, 11 h), for the Ombites nome, year 13 = 109-110. [ΑΥΤ ΤΡΑΙΑΝ ΣΕ]Β - ΓΕΡ ΔΑΚΙΚ Laureate bust of Trajan to right, with aegis on his far shoulder. Rev. [ΟΜΒΙΤΗϹ] / L I-Γ Haroeris, cuirassed, standing right, wearing a headdress of a sun disk upon ram horns, holding a spear in his right hand and crocodile in his left. Dattari (Savio) 347. Geissen -. K&G N36.3. RPC III 6306 (obverse)/6308 (reverse). Extremely rare, a hitherto unknown die combination. Dark patina. Very carefully cleaned with some strengthening, otherwise, good very fine.
