PAMPHYLIA. Side. Circa 460-430 BC. Stater (Silver, 19.5 mm, 10.85 g, 11 h). Pomegranate hanging downwards within a wreath of pomegranate leaves. Rev. Two dolphins: one, above the other, the upper swimming to left and the lower swimming to right; below the lower dolphin, pomegranate branch (here barely visible); all within an incuse square. Traité II, 1, 882 and pl. XXIV, 13 (same dies). Of great rarity, one of only a few examples known. Clear and lightly toned. Very fine.
