AYT KAI M AYP CEYHPOC ANTΩNEINOC CEB / Π - Π Bust of Caracalla to left, wearing the crown and robes of a demiourgos priest; below bust, star. Rev. ANTωNEINIANHC CEYHR AΔPIANH / TAPCOY / MHT / A / M - K / ΓB Elephant walking right, carrying two sacks upon its back, each marked XP. McClean 9116 (same obverse die). Cf. BMC 196, SNG Copenhagen 364, SNG Levante 1047-1048 and SNG Paris 1541. An extraordinary piece with an especially interesting reverse. With a fine apple-green patina. Some roughness on the reverse edge, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
