Q. Sicinius and C. Coponius, 49 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.47 g, 5 h), mint travelling with Pompey in the East. Q.SICINIVS III VIR Diademed head of Apollo to right; below, star of six rays. Rev. C COPONIVS.PR.S.C. Club of Hercules supporting lion's skin with its head in profile; to left and right, arrow and bow. Babelon (Sicinia) 1. Crawford 444/1a. CRI 3. Sydenham 939. Very attractive and very well-centered, with a particularly fine head of Apollo and a very sharp reverse; an unusually fine piece. Good extremely fine.
