CARIA. Uncertain. Circa 5th century BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 13 mm, 2.08 g, 8 h). Forepart of a bull to right; pearls on the truncation. Rev. Forepart of a calf to left; pearls on the truncation; all within an incuse square. For a similar piece, but an obol, see SNG Kayhan 974. A very rare and intriguing piece, with two powerfully rendered bovines. About extremely fine.

From an accumulation of unidentified coins in Germany, amassed during the 1990s.
