IONIA. Magnesia ad Maeandrum. Circa 160-150 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32.5 mm, 16.91 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrate Apollodoros, son of Kallikrates. Diademed bust of Artemis to right, with bow and quiver at her shoulder. Rev. ΜΑΓΝΗΤΩΝ / ΑΠOΛΛOΔΩPOΣ / KAΛΛIKPATOY Apollo standing left on maeander pattern, holding filleted laurel branch with his right hand and leaning his left elbow on a tripod behind him; all within laurel wreath. BMC -. Jones -, but dies O5/R4 (unlisted die combination). Lovely old toning. Extremely fine.
