KINGS OF BITHYNIA. Prusias I Chloros, circa 230-182 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 28 mm, 12.01 g, 12 h). Laureate head of Apollo to left; on neck, traces of an uncertain circular countermark. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΠΡΟΥΣΙΟΥ Helmeted and winged figure of Athena-Nike standing to left, crowning the king's name with her right hand and resting her left on a shield by her side; in field to left, monogram of ΗΓ. RG 16. SNG von Aulock 6880. Well-struck and with a dark patina. Some striking flatness, otherwise, about extremely fine.
