MACEDON. Philippi. Augustus, 27 BC -14 AD. (Bronze, 26 mm, 10.48 g, 12 h). COL AVG IVL PHIL IVSSV AVG Laureate head of Augustus to right. Rev. AVG DIVI F DIVO IVL Statue of Augustus in military attire extending right arm and resting left hand on hip; behind him, statue of Divus Julius, togate, crowning him with wreath held in right hand; both standing on low basis between two altars. FITA 275. RPC I 1650. SNG ANS 683. Dark brown patina. Light adjustment marks on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
