CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Remi. Late 2nd to mid 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 15 mm, 5.99 g, 12 h), 'à l'oeil' type. Celticized male head to right; in field to right, star-like ornament. Rev. "Quadriga" with a horse galloping to left; to left and below, disc within a circle of pearls; above to right, stylized charioteer. De la Tour 8799. Delestrée & Tache 173. Scheers pl. 8, 222. Clear and lightly toned. Struck on a very tight flan, otherwise, good very fine.
