PAPHLAGONIA. Sinope. Circa 490-425 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 6.05 g). Head of a sea eagle to left; below, dolphin to left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square composed of two raised and two sunken squares; within each of the sunken squares, a pellet. HGC 7, 384. SNG BM Black Sea 1359-63; SNG Copenhagen 272. Unusually well centered obverse. Traces of an uncertain countermark on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
