Divus Romulus, died 309. Follis (Bronze, 25 mm, 6.78 g, 11 h), struck under his father Maxentius, Rome, S = 2nd officina, early 311 - late 312. DIVO ROMVLO N V BIS CONS Bare head of Romulus to right. Rev. AETERNAE MEMORIAE / RE S Domed hexastyle shrine with right door ajar; on dome, eagle standing to right, head turned to left. Drost 171. RIC 257. Well-struck and sharp, with a glossy, reddish-brown patina. A very attractive piece. Extremely fine.
