KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 17.21 g, 1 h), Byblos, circa 330-320. Head of youthful Herakles in lion's skin headdress to right. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on throne, holding eagle on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; in field to left, monogram of AP. Demanhur 3624-52. Price 3426. Struck from a worn obverse die coupled with a fresh and clear reverse die. Very fine.

This coin is almost identical to Price 3426. The only difference is that the legs of Zeus change position on the present example: the right leg is drawn back rather than the left, giving a rather more dainty look to Zeus as compared to the piece shown in Price.
