ISLANDS OFF IONIA, Samos. Circa 510-500 BC. Drachm (Silver, 13 mm, 3.53 g, 6 h). Forepart of a winged boar to left. Rev. Facing lion's scalp; all within dotted square within incuse square. Barron 39a (DA 22/DP 36 = Weber 6296 = Carfrae [II], 30 this coin). Attractively toned and clear. Nearly extremely fine.
