ISLANDS OFF ATTICA, Aegina. Circa 350-338 BC. Stater (Silver, 33 mm, 12.25 g). Tortoise seen from above. Rev. Incuse square divided by skew-pattern into 5 compartments; in the upper two, Α - Ι; on the lower right, dolphin swimming upwards. BMC -. Cf. Milbank Pl. III, 3 (drachm). SNG Copenhagen -. SNG Lockett -. A very rare variety. Toned and very well-struck on a broad flan. Very minor die faults, otherwise, about extremely fine.
