LYDIA. Thyateira. Septimius Severus, 193-211. Medallion (Bronze, 44 mm, 34.09 g, 6 h), alliance issue with Pergamum, struck under the strategos Moschus, 193-195. AYT KAI Λ CEΠ CEOYHPOC ΠEP Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus to right. Rev. EΠI CTPA MOC-XOY B ΠEPΓAMHNΩN / ΘYATEIPHNΩN OMONOIA Asclepius of Pergamum standing to right, holding serpent-entwined staff, standing vis-à-vis Apollo Tyrimnaeus of Thyatira standing to left. GRPC Lydia 282 (same dies). Franke & Nollé 2298 (this coin) = Mabbott 1856 (this coin). SNG von Aulock 3221. Extremely rare, only five recorded by Franke & Nollé. Scratches on reverse, otherwise, about very fine.
