MYSIA. Pergamum. Gallienus, 253-268. Heptassarion (Bronze, 36.5 mm, 17.03 g, 6 h), in alliance with Ephesos, under the Strategos Sextus Claudius Seilianus. ΑΥΤ.Κ.Π.ΛΙΚΙ.ΓΑΛΛΙΗΝΟC Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gallienus to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΕΠ CΕΞ ΚΛ.CΕΙ-ΛΙΑΝ/ΟΥ./ΠΡΩ-Γ.ΝΕ/ΩΚ/ΠΕΡΓΑΜΗΝΩΝ-ΚΑΙ ΕΦΕCΙΩΝ/ΟΜΟΝ On the left, facing figure of the Artemis of Ephesos; on the right, facing figure of Aesklepios. Cf. SNG Paris 2300-2302 and SNG von Aulock 1425 (same obverse die but with a similar reverse struck from differing dies). With a noble portrait of Gallienus, an interesting reverse and a rough but attractive green patina. Usual die break on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
