Ducat (Silver, 22 mm, 2.54 g, 12 h), struck in silver on Nuremberg's homage at the investiture of Charles VI as emperor, mintmaster Georg Friedrich Nürnberger, 1677-1716, 1712, in chronogram form. CAROL.VI.ROM. - IMP.SEMP.AVG. Crowned, draped and cuirassed bust of Charles VI to right; below, GFN. Rev. PIA OPTIMO PRINCIPI VOTA DICIT Flaming altar adorned with the triple arms of Nuremberg; in exergue, S.P.Q.N. Erlanger 674. Cf. Fb. 1900. Kellner 76. Lightly toned and clear. Extremely fine.
