Magnia Urbica, Augusta, 283-285. Aureus (Gold, 20.5 mm, 4.67 g, 6 h), struck under Carinus, Rome. MAGNIA V-RBICA AVG Diademed and draped bust of Magnia Urbica to right, with her hair in a plait ornamented with pearls and tied up on top of her head. Rev. VENERI VICTRICI Venus standing facing, her face turned to right, holding apple in her right hand and drawing out folds of drapery. Calicó 4409. Cohen 8. RIC V, 340. Very rare and a perfect example of the kind of coin that was very desirable in the late 19th century. Repaired hole at 3h, and with some marks, otherwise, about extremely fine.
