LYDIA. Silandus. Time of Marcus Aurelius, 161-180. Hemiassarion (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.03 g, 8 h), struck under the strategos, Attalianos. CIΛΑΝΔΕΩΝ Bearded head of Silenos to right, wreathed with ivy. Rev. ΕΠΙ CΤΑ ΑΤΤΑΛΙΑΝOΥ Silenos, holding thyrsos with his right hand, riding on mule to right. GRPC Lydia, 15. Imhoof, MG 35. RPC Online 1508. A lovely head of Silenos. Dark brown patina with earthen highlights. Very fine.
