LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 300-250 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 18 mm, 4.59 g, 11 h). Facing bust of Athena, wearing wreathed triple-crested helmet, pearl necklace and cloak. Rev. ΜΕΤΑ Ear of barley with leaf to right; to right, cross-torch. HN III 1682. Johnson 46. SNG Copenhagen 1251. Well-struck and sharp, with a fine brown patina. Extremely fine.

From an old collection in Davos, Grisons, formed before the 1990s.
