LYDIA. Nysa. Valerian I, 253-260. (Bronze, 28 mm, 8.35 g, 6 h), struck under the grammateus Ael. Jul. Proklos. ΑΥΤ Κ ΠΟ ΛΙΚΙΝ ΒΑΛΕΡΙΑΝΟC Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Valerian I to right. Rev. ΕΠΙ ΓΡ ΑΙΛ ΠΡΟΚΛΟΥ ΝΥCΑΕΩΝ Dionysos standing to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and thyrsos in his left; at feet to left, panther. GRPC Lydia, 260 (same obverse die). SNG von Aulock 3054. Greyish-brown patina with earthen highlights. Light cleaning scratches on obverse, otherwise, good fine.
