LYDIA. Hyrcanis. Hadrian, 117-138. Assarion (Bronze, 21 mm, 7.80 g, 12 h), struck under the proconsul, Avidius Quietus. AY KAI ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟC Laureate and draped bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. ΑΝΘΥ ΚΥΙΗΤΩ ΥΡΚΑΝΩΝ Dionysos standing to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and thyrsos with his left. GRPC Lydia, 33 (same dies). RPC III, 1958. SNG Copenhagen 209. Stumpf 586. Well-centered and with a tan-brown patina. Light porosity and lightly struck, otherwise, very fine.
