IONIA. Teos. Pseudo-autonomous issue, Time of Antoninus Pius, circa 147-152. Triassarion (Bronze, 28 mm, 8.79 g, 6 h), struck under the strategos Asklepiados. ΤEΩC Turreted and draped bust of Dionysos as the Tyche of Teos, to right; behind shoulder, thyrsos. Rev. CΤΡ ΑCΚΛΗΠΙΑΔOY Anakreon seated right, playing lyre held on his knee. Lindgren & Kovacs 578A. RPC IV.2 Online, temp. 2780.2 (this coin). Green patina. Very fine.
