KINGS OF PERGAMON. Eumenes I, 263-241 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver plated bronze, 30 mm, 15.34 g, 10 h), an ancient forgery in the name and with the portrait of Philetairos, founder of the kingdom, c. 255/50-241. Laureate head of Philetairos to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΕΤΑΙΡΟΥ Athena enthroned to left, crowning the royal name with a wreath in her right hand, resting her left hand on her lap, and her left elbow on a round shield; to outer left, bunch of grapes; to inner left, Α; in field to right, bow. Cf. SNG BN 1616-20. SNG von Aulock 1358. Westermark Group IV. Well-centered and struck in high relief - an ancient forgery. Core exposed in a couple of spots, otherwise, very fine.

TROAS. Abydos. Circa 350-325 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 15 mm, 2.37 g, 8 h), struck under the magistrate, Anaxikles. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ABY ANAΞI Eagle standing to left; kantharos on the left field. BMC 12. SNG Copenhagen 6-7 var (ivy leaf to right of legend). Nicely toned and well-centered. Obverse surfaces a little rough, a few cleaning scratches under tone, otherwise, very fine.
