LYDIA. Philadelphia. 2nd-1st century BC. (Bronze, 15.5 mm, 5.65 g, 12 h), struck under the archiereus Hermippos, son of Hermogenes. ΦΙΛΑΔΕΛΦΕΩΝ Ivy wreathed head of Dionysos to right. Rev. ΑΡΧΙΕΡΕΥΣ / ΕΡΜΙΠΠΟΣ Panther standing left, head turned back to right, cradling filleted thyrsos. GRPC Lydia, 41-2. SNG Copenhagen 340. Dark green patina and well-centered. A few light cleaning marks, otherwise, very fine.
