LYDIA. Sardes. Circa 133 BC-AD 14. (Bronze, 18.5 mm, 6.04 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrate Alexandros, son of Menogenos. Head of Dionysos to right, wearing ivy-wreath. Rev. ΣAPΔIANΩN / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ / ΜΗΝΟΓΗΝΟΥΣ Demeter standing to left, holding long torch in left hand and corn-ears and poppy with her right. GRPC Lydia, 229. Waddington 5212. Dark greenish-black patina. Surfaces slightly rough, otherwise, very fine.
