CORINTHIA. Corinth. Mid 4th century BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 8.52 g, 9 h). Pegasus, with pointed wing, flying to left; below, Ϙ. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to left, wearing Corinthian helmet and pearl necklace; below chin, A; behind neck, bee flying to left. BCD Corinth 114 (same dies). Calciati 399. Ravel 1038 (same dies). With a reverse of very good style and a most unusual symbol. Striking flatness on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
