ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing right with closed wings; to left, rose; below throne, ΔΙ. Kraay & Hirmer 569. Price 3971 var (with ΔΙ-Ο, not ΔΙ, as here). An apparently unknown variant. Attractive and clear. Struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise, about extremely fine.
