Geta, 209-212. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 34mm, 24.31 g 1), Rome, 210. IMP CAES P SEPT GETA PIVS AVG Laureate head of Geta to right, with traces of drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. PONTIF TR P II COS II / S C Caracalla and Geta standing left, both laureate and in military dress and each extending his right hand and holding a spear in his left; to left, captive seated right at Caracalla's feet; to left, two soldiers, each standing right and holding a standard; to left of Geta, soldier standing left and holding a standard. Banti 44 (same dies). BMC 217. Cohen 146. RIC 157b. Very rare. With a well-struck, fascinating and detailed reverse scene; with a very dark, blackish-green patina overlaid with sand as found. Very fine.
