CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 390-385 BC. Nomos (Silver, 19mm, 7.67 g 2). Nude youth riding on horse galloping to right; below horse’s belly, Λ. Rev. ΤΑΡΑΣ Taras riding dolphin to left, holding an akrostolion in his right hand and resting his left on the dolphin. Fischer-Bossert 396d (this coin). Attractive, of good style and nicely toned. Reverse slightly off-center, otherwise, about extremely fine.
