MACEDON, Thessalonica. Augustus, with Divus Julius Caesar, 27 BC-AD 14. (Bronze, 21mm, 10.07 g 12), c. 28-27 BC. ΘEOΣ Laureate head of Divus Julius Caesar to right. Rev. ΘEΣΣA - ΛONIKEΩN Bare head of Augustus to right; Δ below neck. BMC 58. RPC 1554. Touratsoglou 81 (V12/R45). Varbanov 4153. A very nice example of a usually crude coinage and with a fine dark green patina. Minor metal flaws on obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
